Et tu, mon amor?

That's been my MSN identity for a while now.

Friends have been asking me what it means.

Explained it quite a number of times so far.

Time to put it down here permanently.

Et tu is Latin, for 'You too?'

It's taken from the play Julius Caesar (based on a true story), where Caesar gets a knife in the gut from his best friend and trusted confidante Brutus, and says the immortal words, 'Et tu, Brute?'.

It's infamous for being one of the most famous betrayals in human history.

Mon amor is French for 'My love'.
